Things I love about homeschooling

This morning, my brother, Mom and I brainstormed a few reasons why we enjoy homeschooling so much. We made a long list, and I've chosen 3 to write about in my blog today.

#   TIME

We are not limited by time. We have no need to wake early in the mornings and have the freedom to choose our day plan.
For example:  We are going to tidy the house this morning and do our math, history, science and reading this afternoon.

#   CHORES

I can help my Mom around the house. Almost every day we help tidy the house, fold washing, wash dishes, clean bathrooms, etc.

READING GOOD BOOKS

The books we read are connected to the history and geography that we are learning. We have read some interesting books and learnt about the lives of famous inventors and statesman. I am reading 'George Washington Carver: Man's slave becomes God's scientist' by David Collins right now. It has been amazing to read about how he went to college and became a scientist. He was an orphan, adopted by German parents, and his life wasn't always easy because of his colour. He was a very good at art and science.

I quite enjoy homeschooling, and I love reading the books we've read. I also enjoy reading my Bible.

I think is  quite fun to read, draw, paint, cook, bake, blog and learn Dutch at home.

Tot ziens :)
